Back in the early 90's, at the peak of turtle mania, an Aunt I'd barely met informed me that
she was sending a "Ninja Turtle" for Christmas. What actually arrived was the following:

As just a dumb kid with no concept of intellectual property, I had no reason to believe this
wasn't a piece of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merchandise. I just assumed it was some
weird character I hadn't heard of. I don't remember ever playing with him - particularly since
he was twice the size of all my other figures and it just wouldn't have made any sense - but
now that I'm an adult child who likes toys as collectibles and decorations, the Skateboarding
Pirate Bandito Frog has a very special place in my heart.
