You know those...things...are probably covering every inch of the Hospital, and that one was probably right that they can't touch you while the light is off, but it still gives you a sense of superficial safety to book it out of there.
You're pretty sure you've established that you have no safe light source to explore the rest of this area yet, assuming you're ever going to need to. For now, you should probably check out the surgical ward and hope you don't get yourself in deeper trouble with your stolen I.D.
