Carmine Reid was eighteen years old in July, 2010, when she suffered a psychotic episode after a vehicular accident. She believed she was raped and almost murdered by a man calling himself Wolfe. Her injuries were found to be self inflicted, and no evidence of rape was present. She spent six months in a Manhattan psychological hospital. After her release in January, she moved in with her full time therapist and new legal guardian, Lola Keyes. Four months later, in April, 2011, the Keyes' residence was burned down. It is believed that Reid set the fire during another psychotic episode, emergency services were not contacted until the fire was in full force. The house was completely consumed. Deemed Arson. Keyes' and Reid's bodies were not recovered.
