I was Elated when I heard Seb and the gan make their way upstairs, but I felt so weak.
"oh, buddy! You've already been here too long! Look at yourself!"
I listen, and I can already see myself fading, but i don't understand why.
"Rule number 3 man; Don't go to the world of the living, it sucks the Unlife out of you and makes it so that you can never return! Why do you think there are barely any humans down in the netherworld?"
It makes about as much sense as anything else as of recent.
"Where's the gray Creep? We'll Show him what-for!"
"gone..they left"
"really? Just like that? why?"
"I don't know"
"well, for whatever reason, we gotta get You back downstairs!"
and with that, we made like a chicken and shot for the other side. I wasn't really sure where we were running to, until Astro assured me that there were only specific points
in the world where Ghosts as weak as me could poke through. So we were hustling through, trying to avoid the draining light before it soon became apparent that we wouldn't make it on by float.
as time went on, eventually we could only stroll. We were all running out of time here, and everyone was noticing.
"I don't think we're gonna make it like this."
"You're right Casey, We need to scare up some ectoplasm."
""scare up"?"
"Yeah! the only other way for Ghosts to obtain energy is to scare the living! and Its hard enough to stay visible as is."
we needed energy, Fast, and luckily theres always some teens in the woods for just this kind of thing.
We find two lovestruck teens sitting alone in their car, shyly preparing to plant a big smooch on each other.
We Made a big show of it in the woods. we kicked up the winds, made the elecronics flicker, glitched out their phones. gosh, I never knew being the monster
would be so fun.
It all came to a head when we materialized right outside their windshield and scared them running!
Imagine this; 7 Ghosts Jacking a car, fading in and out of visibility as it races down a road straight into a rock face in the forest.
There was a Crash, and just like that, we found ourselves falling, falling back into the netherworld. everyone was laughing, having such a good time. everyone was already feeling so much better amidst the swirling lights between worlds.
all until something ripped through.
