ENTRY 15: THE TWINS (Charlotte and Victor Deshayes)
"Charlotte Deshayes can unleash her conjoined twin brother Victor, falling dormant until he’s finished hunting. Victor moves at high speeds and strikes with a pounce attack that debilitates and injures. Down Survivors with Victor and hook them with Charlotte, an oppressive tandem that can quickly disrupt even the best-laid plans."
LORE SUMMARY: Charlotte was born with her brother Victor embedded in her torso, small and stunted but fully conscious. Mistreated and shunned throughout their lives, they were soon reduced to stealing food for their ailing mother, until she was burned to death by an angry mob and the twins fell into the possession of a mysterious cult. They endured many strange experiments before Victor, and only Victor, was slain in a sacrificial ritual. Charlotte would escape, but spend the rest of her days on the run from the cult, her hatred for humanity growing as she continued to cradle and protect the little, putrid corpse of her beloved brother, which never fully rotted away.
One day, alone and starving in frigid cold, Charlotte closed her eyes and expected to accept death...but her brother sprang to life, tore himself out of her and ran into the surrounding fog...

It's certainly not sensitive to cast conjoined twins as supernatural killers, no, but it's unheard of in real life for a smaller "parasitic" or "vestigial" twin to have a functioning mind of its own, so they're usually just removed as soon as possible, and most people stuck with one would rather not be, so it's not like parasitic fetuses are out there getting upset by movies like Basket Case or the radioactive mutant twins from Total Recall. It's the person carrying a parasitic twin that might be kind of slighted by portrayal as an object of horror, but Charlotte and Victor are also highly sympathetic characters, and Charlotte is another one whose perception of reality has been warped by the Entity. Victor is obviously dead for real, but she believes he's alive again, she believes he still needs his bigger sister's protection, and she believes everyone else in the fog intends to hurt him.
The gameplay can be a lot of grisly fun when you do it right, since you can take control of the undead or imitation Victor, whichever it may be, and run around like a vicious little imp. Survivors can kick him (rude!!! Rude to a little guy!!!!!) but he's apparently still so difficult enough to counter that the fanbase considers him mechanically cheap and not that fun to go up against. Booo! Just get good!!!
BEST SKIN(S):
"HARROWING TIME:" The twins have a criminal lack of creative or memorable skins, mostly consisting of clothing swaps that aren't as memorable as some of the others we've seen. Harrowing Time is at least a very cool one, apparently based on the cult that has captured them. The black hood hiding most of her upper face, long scraggly white hair, decayed looking robe and filthy human skulls roped together with bells are all highly fashionable. Still, something as unique as a two-in-one killer really deserves some stranger, more outrageous costumes, and there's so much you could do, especially if Victor is remodeled as well. If we got silly with it, what about Charlotte as an astronaut and Victor as a little alien guy? For something cooler and scarier but still really out-there, maybe Charlotte as a wicker figure and Victor as a burning skeleton? Scarecrow Charlotte and crow-headed Victor? Even a simpler reskin as dolls, mannequins or anatomy models would rule.
