We're now getting into the reviews I've been looking forward to since Shoutmon: from now until review 330, we'll having nothing but digimon from the Xros Wars Original Digimon Contest, and almost all of them are excellent. As basically just a sports-loving cybernetic superhero-looking dude, Footmon is the least interesting to me personally and I'll be him out of the way first. No offense to contest entrant Abeta Yusuke, obviously, who should certainly be proud that their design got picked! You can kind of tell this is something a kid came up with, because I get a real sense of heart out of it that a lot of humanoid digimon are lacking. A feeling that it was truly something someone thought was FUN rather than just "cool."

...Unfortunately, the artist's original drawing actually looks a lot better than the final design turned out. Few of these follow the entry drawing exactly, which in some cases is a bit of a disappointment. In others, not so much. You'll see!
