Contest entrant Tsuchiya Yuuki apparently felt Piedmon just wasn't enough evil clownery for the digital world, and I have to agree. In fact, I'd say Jokermon turned out a little snazzier looking than Piedmon, even if it could almost literally just be some obscure version of the Batman villain. He's said to appear at random and turn the tide of battle with no particular rhyme or reason to which side he supports, calling himself the "passing trump."

I like just how much they actually kept from Yuuki's design, too. It's a kid drawing, but you can already see Jokermon's outfit and weapon in details they translated pretty well!
