MECOPTERA SAPIENS

CLASS: ARTHROPOID

While reasonably strong, agile and intelligent, these creatures crave the rotting remains of only other Arthropoids, a diet not practical enough to justify wide spread employment. A few small populations reside in Arthropoid-dominated communities, where they are permitted to hollow out the bodies of the dead and guard over their dried, mounted exoskeletons.

BASE ORGANISM: The Mecoptera, or Scorpionflies, are flying insects named for the greatly enlarged, curled reproductive organs of the males. Their diets are varied, but they're particularly adapted to scavenge on the corpses of other arthropods.
