This buoyant bioweapon puffs a foul brown dust from its hollow antlers laden with malignant spores, germinating into a pulsing parasitic black fungus on contact with living tissues. Hosts of the painful contagion become uncontrollably attracted to uninfected flesh, spreading the fungus even as their bodies are reduced to mush.
Blightshade use their long tongues to continuously taste the air, and feed by slurping fungus-ridden flesh into their nasal tubes. They make an organ-like sound as they blow spores from their antlers, each lineage passing down its own unique "blightsong."
