GRINATA SOURPUSS  CONCEPT BY THE WALL LICKERS CLASS: JOKER VARIANT CHARACTERISTOCS: A mutation of the Grinata, the narcotic gases of the Sourpuss amplify disgust, suppress positive stimulation and increase sensitivity to harsh flavors, while the rubbery, technically edible tendrils on its snout taste of pure, concentrated ammonium chloride as bitter as its own antisocial, resentful and self-pitying demeanor. It suffers an underlying craving for attention, yet reacts with loathing to those few creatures unaffected by its powerful repellant effects, and those fewer still that find its "candy" outright alluring will trigger the same predatory instincts as any other Grinata. Its slow metabolic rate is well adapted to these infrequent meals of what it typically characterizes as "sickos" or "freaks," and it may find a dark, secluded place to skulk for months while it digests its prey. Other Jokers are especially distressed by the odors and flavors of a Sourpuss, becoming listless and pessimistic if forced to associate with the creature for long. Seeing the usual frantic enthusiasm of Jokerkind give way to gloom and hopelessness is, however, one of the few things guaranteed to pry at least a hint of a smile from the Sourpuss. LEVITATION: like any Grinata, the Sourpuss can float through the air on its gases. LICORICE FOG: the Sourpuss's acrid vapor is unusually repugnant to most creatures, actively amplifying their revulsion and driving almost everything away from the monster's presence.
