CLASS: DEVIL BIRD

   This extremely unintelligent devil-bird develops beautiful, sparkling red "pearls" within its brain that regularly drop from its cumbersome, chitinous grey head as it wanders about aimlessly. Short-range psychic waves emitted by a Greed's pearls actually induce an emotional high in most intelligent beings, clouding their judgment and compelling them to covet the strange objects to dangerous levels of obsession. Victims never realize that their very intellect is being drained away by the ever-growing pearl, beamed back to the devil-bird and metabolized into new brain cells.

   A greed always keeps its largest pearl to itself, weighing down its head and blocking proper growth of its brain. Greed have been discovered completely immobilized by the sheer weight of their skulls, mindlessly walking in place and refusing to give up their treasure.
