CLASS: BIOCONSTRUCT
Engineered as a security system and hunting beast, the Grinmangle is a crafty ambush predator that buries itself in sand, loose soil or vegetation and waits for prey to blunder within reach of its tentacles. Once prey has been immobilized by the tentacles and crushing jaws, its hollow stinger - the true mouth - injects digestive enzymes and drains the victim dry.
Grinmangle communicate with one another by clicking their jaws and often organize themselves into a complex maze of living traps to subdue and consume larger prey as a group.
