CLASS: ECTOSAUR
PARABIOLOGY: Like the Gloppergeist, the Gunkergeist is a largely flightless, floatless Ectosaur, locomoting awkwardly on its stilt-like forelimbs. It keeps a distance from its prey, able to project a thin, concentrated stream of slime from its tubular skull with precise aim at a distance of several hundred meters. More volatile and concentrated than Gloppergeist slime, even a small portion spreads itself at an alarming pace through a living host, converting even fairly large organisms into obedient "slime ghouls." Gunkergeist slime ghouls tend to be slower and more gluttonous than those of the Gloppergeist, their bodies producing excessive amounts of slime from a steady diet of meat. SLIME SECRETION: The Gunkergeist's slime is pale blue, somewhat rubbery and highly adhesive. It smells like fermenting fruit. HAUNTING ACTIVITIES: The Gunkergeist permits its ghouls to forage freely in its territory, and may even bring them live prey as though tending to a brood of young. It selects only the most bloated ghouls to feed from, inserting its proboscis down their throat to siphon up sustainable amounts of slime. TRANSFORMATIVE SLIME: the Gunkergeist's slime can transform a living creature into an oozing, ectosaur-like phantasm under the monster's command.
