CLASS: BIOCONSTRUCT
BIOLOGY: The hollow, tubular teeth of the Malodorodon are specially adapted to trap particles of its carrion-rich diet, nourishing colonies of symbiotic bacteria responsible for the monster's intensely sulphuric breath, noxious enough to nauseate the likes of a Blobotle or Pustulump and capable of burning flesh at point-blank range. Even the Malodorodon is not entirely safe from the might of its own halitosis, breathing only through its dorsal and cranial windpipes. The Malodorodon's floppy, muscular ears are employed to fan its breath even farther, and the secondary mouth on its tail can channel the putrid vapor to ward off attackers from behind. The monster's fused eye sees an upside-down and backwards world, but it learns to compensate from infancy. BEHAVIOR: Malodorodon want little more than to wallow in muck and feast idly on garbage, but will do almost anything for choice treats such as spoiled pumpkins or sacks of feces, and display incredible intelligence when food is at stake. APPLIANCE: Bribed with the right snacks, a Malodorodon is a dependable beast of burden, mount or battle companion, though proper respiratory gear is recommended. HALITOSIS: a Malodorodon's teeth secrete a repugnant, burning sulphuric gas. Contents copyright Jonathan Wojcik
