Fusion of a human with a stinkbug. When threatened, the Matoon pops its own massive blisters to release a rotten-smelling gas so incredibly pungent that even zombies and carrion-eaters may find it agitating. In humans, the stench has been known to cause brain trauma.
Matoon are liquivores, regurgitating digestive enzymes on solid foods and slurping up the remnants through their filter-like snouts, which constantly twitch and snuffle. Though treated with delicate respect by anything with an olfactory system, they are modest and bashful monsters who try their best not to cause trouble and prefer to be left in solitude.
