MONGRUNGE - The Fleabag

CLASS: BIOCONSTRUCT

This massive canid monster lacks most soft tissues, its largely bare skeleton wrapped in tens of millions of siphonapteroids joined by a remarkably strong silken secretion, a formidable insect army ready to swarm any threat to their symbiotic carrier. In return, the Mongrunge produces much more blood than required by its nearly fleshless body, feeding its horde through a vascular network within its hollow bones.

Though an incredibly rare occurence, a Mongrunge losing absolutely all of its fleas enters a state of mourning it may never recover from, slowly starving itself unless recolonized. Despite its bulk, its bark is an extremely high pitched yipping.
