Creations of an ancient cult, it is believed that these creatures were the end product of a complex funerary ritual. Some survive to this day, wandering the underground city of their extinct masters and babbling endlessly in a forgotten language.
Modern reproductions pale in comparison to the original living relics, but make terrifying adversaries regardless. Simply hearing the babble of an Oolg can cause strange hallucinations in sentient beings, though the monster's true power is in its touch. Through its hands, it secrets a numbing, fast-spreading toxin that hardens the outer layers of organic tissue in a matter of minutes, petrifying prey to be cracked open and fed upon later.
