CLASS: WORMBRAIN

   This loping, wailing creature is the most agile of the wormbrains, leaping and swinging monkey-like over nearly any terrain with its highly elastic, unhinge-able limbs. The psychoactive pull of its cranial parasites is significantly shorter in range than those of its fellow wormbrains, but victims meeting eye to eyes with a Screamatode can seldom resist as it feeds them one or more of its wriggling brood sacs.    A Screamatode's pale, translucent body glows a vivid green in darkness. Its steady keening can rise to an ear-splitting defensive shriek.
