CLASS: BIOCONSTRUCT Designed to render large areas inhospitable to bothersome "natural" life, this black, stunted cephalopoid generates a black "ink" of living nanoids to build and maintain its metallic shell, a miniature processing plant where dead or inorganic matter is reduced to a thick, sooty fog of toxic sulfides, carbon oxides, chlorine, ammonia, cyanide and even previously unknown elements in concentrations few other biotypes can tolerate. Only a small fraction of its intake serves to nourish its rather small central body.
Smogulus thrive in their own waste materials, happily re-inhaling and further refining their toxins as they stew within their filthy shells. Unsurprisingly, they are also quite fond of inhaled narcotics, fast food and television.
