A rare result of two zombies attempting to mate, the Spawnlet's placental "cap" boasts astonishing regenerative effects when consumed raw, with a taste that is said to be exquisite. Though incapable of pain and able to quickly restore itself, it is deathly afraid of being fed upon and spends most of its existence in hiding. Other zombies are especially fond of its meat, and can smell it from miles away. It feeds on carrion, dung or other organic detritus through its hollow umbilical cord. Its body is little more than a basket of interlocking tubes, and can collapse completely flat to hide under its cap and scuttle along the ground.
