Archaludon

This is the point at which there would have normally been the last few legendaries or "mythicals" in most Pokemon games, but the release pattern of downloadable content means that, after Ogerpon, we go back to a couple of non-legendary new Pokemon, the first of which is a surprise evolution for the previous generation's Duraludon. If you need a refresher, that was a metal dinosaur thingy that was also a "building" and a big giant energy cannon, combining a kaiju with both a kaiju's favorite food and a kaiju's natural predator!

Duraludon had a Gigantamax form bearing even more blatant resemblance to a tasty chunk of city architecture, but the Pokemon company now has the asinine notion that unique forms and gimmicks should be limited to specific games, so if you LOVED Gigantamax Duraludon...sorry! You apparently have to leave it in Sword and Shield forever! Limitations on Pokemon availability pretty much ruin the game series completely, but if you're charging forth as a Duraludon fan, I guess you might be in luck, or at least in luck whenever Archaludon here is compatible with another game. It's not quite like the skyscraper-themed Gigantamax form, but it bears an equally interesting resemblance to a city drawbridge, with arms like towering concrete pillars and a body that can unfold into a miniature bridge, complete with a highway-like back:

So while Duraludon could bend down and function like a cannon, Archaludon in bridge mode charges up with electricity and acts like a railgun! Its signature move, Electro Shot, gathers energy for one turn and fires on the next, which is usually kind of a disadvantage, but in this case, the warmup turn also boosts the Pokemon's special attack stat. I actually really like this Pokemon line in general, and for what it's supposed to be, it's designed pretty well.
