Stunfisk

Another of this generation's fish pokemon that aren't water type, Stunfisk is actually ground/electric, modeled after not only a flatfish but a whoopie cushion, as evidenced by its flatulent-sounding in-game cry and the fact that it lies around waiting to get stepped or sat on. That's a very fun, very pokemonesque spin on its animal basis, and while many people hated this pokemon, it was another one of my favorites almost immediately.

My only complaint, which I'm sure you've guessed if you've read my previous thoughts about flatfish, is the disappointing symmetry of Stunfisk's face. I was fully expecting an evolved form with more appropriately twisted features, but Stunfisk remains a non-evolver, and we are deprived what could have been a majestic pocket monster.
