KONYA

Baby meowth! Another unnecessary but incredibly charming baby pokemon, with closed eyes like a newborn kitten and additional coins hovering in the air. It doesn't change my existing feelings on the Meowth line and how Persian isn't nearly as interesting as its younger forms. It's interesting that while Meowth and Persian have a koban coin on their heads, Konya has what appear to be five yen pieces. A Koban was technically only worth one of the "yen" that would replace it, but authentic Koban are worth thousands today as they were often minted from actual gold, so while Konya's coins are a "larger denomination," they're not nearly such valuable treasures and much easier to come by in the modern world.
