AHHHHHH-HAHHH!!! I KNEW IT!!! I KNEW IT!!!! Maybe Honchkrow is more of a "mafia don" like 10,000,000 people shouted at me in my original Murkrow review, and maybe Murkrow retroactively took on more of a "monster" persona, but I only ever saw a witch bird with a broom for a tail from the moment it was ever revealed, and as it turns out, the connection was once even more explicit!
...Just like Delibird's holiday costume. And Octillery's tank resemblance. And Ariados's second face. And Hitmontop's anatomy. And Girafarig's second head. Good lord. What the hell was up with the second generation's "tone it down and reel it in" philosophy? Why did they come up with so many quirky, fun ideas only to dilute them so heavily? What were they afraid of, after a first generation with things like Exeggutor and Magneton in it? We get to Johto and suddenly there's ever such a thing as a hat that's too pointy?
