Okay, I'd say they definitely made the right choice with this one, overall. "Our" Kingdra, just by way of being a fairly accurate weedy sea dragon (not to be confused with a leafy sea dragon, like Dragalge), is one of the coolest looking of all dragon pokemon. This thing looks like an App game's half-baked imitation of Kingdra, like they copy/pasted a dragon from some other game onto Kingdra's seahorse body.
Hooooowever! I could have seen this one being wildly popular anyway, because it certainly has more of a classical dragon feel than the controversial Dragonite, with a serious personality, a cool spiky "cape" and a set of feelers it's tweaking like a dastardly mustache. It wouldn't have been a bad dragon if they'd just applied its personality to something else. I like the giant seahorse version of Kingdra just far too much otherwise.
