The beta design that would become Aipom. Like Sneasel, it has a distinctly unfinished feel to it, and the final pokemon exhibits far more personality:
I just love the specific mouth and eyes they gave this sneaky little monkey, and the much more "exotic" knob-fingered tail, more like a tail that evolved to function like a hand than a tail with a literal extra hand on the end. If there's anything I do like about the beta version, it's that it looks more like some kind of rare, arboreal marsupial than a monkey or lemur, so it gets an extra point for that at least.
