LOST POKEMON, ROUND II:
BETA SLUGMA

AWWWWWW! As much as I do love Slugma, I really would have loved this goopy slug a whole lot more! I'd have at least preferred if Slugma had kept these distinctive eyeballs, since to this day, none of our slug or snail Pokemon have eyes nearly this protrusive. I can understand why they probably changed this so much, though; it's kind of just a pop-eyed Grimer, and Slugma's final design is certainly a distinct one.

It wouldn't have mattered that much in the end, either, since even at this early stage, Slugma evolved into a Magcargo very nearly identical to the final design. Still, I can dream. This design could even still work as its own line, in my opinion, with at least a less Grimer-like coloration.
