KNIGHTMON
I have a distinct memory of actually really liking this giant perfect-level knight the first time I saw it, but I can't really recall why. It's JUST a giant knight. Were my tastes really that broad in my teens? I think NOW we're all done with minor anime digimon up to the year 2000, and will really finish them off with tomorrow's entry.

About the only really interesting thing about Knightmon is really that, of its MANY possible knight and warrior evolutions, its most direct upgrade is a virus type introduced in 2002 with such a surprisingly feminine motif, sporting incredibly long legs, an hourglass torso, bright pink armor and even a fancy gold bracelet. It's literally known in Japan as "Lord Knightmon" rather than some sort of "Lady" Knightmon, however. Knightmon is having absolutely none of your medieval traditionalism!
This is also part of a series of digimon called the "Royal Knights," but their introductions were scattered across many series and games. I feel like we don't have much reason to hold off on them and review them all together like we do some of the other "series."RATING:
