AWWWWWW MAN!!! You're tellin' me we almost got Slowbro's shellder symbiont as its own Pokemon!? That would have been killer! I friggin LOVE the aesthetic of just a snail shell with eyes and fangs, and while we eventually wound up with a mega slowbro that focuses somewhat more on the mollusk, people still tend to identify more with the pink otter poking out of it. There's even mention in Slowbro's pokedex that it reverts to a Slowpoke if it becomes separated from its Shellder, so I guess we can assume that's exactly what happened here, and why Taaban (Turban) looks so glum. I would have absolutely loved to have this pokemon! Who wouldn't! It's a sad, monster snail shell!
