Mega Barbaracle

After Eelektross, this is the second Mega ever given to one of my top-favorite personal "team member" Pokemon, though it's another one different enough to pass for a normal evolution. The rock comprising its "torso" is now a lot bigger, with a couple of dark spike-shaped rocks and vein-like dark cracks. What used to be the dark brown chitin of its barnacles is now black, while the paler elements are a little bit redder. The barnacles comprising its arms and legs are also longer, thinner, and have multipled into eight "arms," while the central "head" barnacle only really changes in that its claws look a lot sharper, and it's now hilariously making the "horned hand" \m/ gesture most associated with rock, punk and surfer culture.
It's cool, and I'll let it keep its original rating for all the same reasons I like the base Pokemon, but I will say I still like something about the base a lot more, so I actually prefer this one as only a temporary power-up form. There isn't any particularly new or exciting Pokedex information, unfortunately, or any interesting new gameplay gimmicks to talk about either. It really is just a "powered up" Barbaracle, though I do enjoy how it runs with the "brutal and badass" characterization. It's a perfect followup to Mega Malamar, and even feels like a complementary sea-creature supervillain design. Put them together and they truly look like the "brains" and the "muscle" of the same evil empire, and either one of them could work as the "boss" with the other as their right-hand monster...unless this is one of those setups with three or four roughly equal-ranking antagonists, which I'm always a big fan of. Like Digimon's Dark Masters, but with a seafood motif? That means we just need a couple more...
