Speaking of manga-only obscurities, today's digimon were actually teased in V-Tamer 01, but their storyline had to be scrapped for time. Like Callismon (see Bearmon a few pages back) they were going to be Ultimate-level villains created when Arkadimon's data corrupted other digimon lines, but exactly which lines is hard to say. From the looks of things, Lykamon might have been a corruption of Garurumon or other canine digimon, Panimon may have drawn from demon digimon, and Hermmon from either human or angel digimon, taking on that radical grim reaper look.

I wouldn't even include "cancelled" digimon as a regular review, except that all three of these guys made at least one background appearance each, so, technically speaking, they did actually make official appearances. All three look fairly badass, too, and I'm going to give all three of them the same 5/5 rating. It's the least they deserve.
