Gasamon debuts in the Digimon Pendulum Color, where it can evolve into a couple of different ninja or samurai type Digimon, but long time fans will also recognize how perfectly it matches up with Octomon, to the point that it was definitely designed with Octomon in mind. Not just because they're both red octopuses, no, but Octomon also has stripey horns, and swaps the traditional rain hat for a traditional octopus-pot.

As if to reassure us that they didn't forget the mollusk aspect, Gasamon is also said to have a hidden mouth that can spew acidic mucus!
